I live in Pearl Beach, NSW. I am an artist and ceramicist. I work from my Pearl Beach Studio on the Central Coast and the ceramic studio at the Workshop Art Centre, Willoughby. My works are a response to the environment figuratively and in abstract. Along side this philosophy I enjoy creating functional ceramics that are imbued with the wholesome warmth and feel to be used in everyday life. I enjoy working with porcelain the qualities of which inspires my work. Currently I am working on altered wheel thrown forms, each piece dictates its final form. It combines both figurative and abstract form. In 2017 I took part in an exhibition "From the Ground Up" at the Incinerator Sydney. I exhibited my porcelain abstract 'still life forms' and landscape vases. In 2018 I am preparing to exhibit in September creating ceramics to respond to my landscape paintings. The aim is to create forms to apply glazes in a simplistic and gestural way.
